CPPD #4: Thrift Store Shoppin'

A couple of weeks ago Dave and I and Mantha went thrift store shopping hoping by some miracle of heaven there would be a HUGE fantabulous picture or piece of art for one of our barren walls in the dining room.......didn't find one of those but did find some fun little vintage treasures! I can't tell you how bad I want to alter that old Disney Alice in Wonderland record! I've been trying to decide the perfect thing to do with it. Then of course all the old yummy vintage books, nothing better than painting on vintage paper! ....and then on top of all that I found some old fashion magazines...they are a hoot! I'll probably cut them up and let people use them in my Art Journaling class in Vegas in April!

Today has just been a working day! Got so much done! YAY! This is my favorite time of year and I can just feel October creeping its way here faster than I realize! So many fun things planned, so much to do, so much to look forward to....like Sam's 13th birthday {oh my gosh I'm going to have a teenager!} and Journalfest!

CPPD #2: Dinner and a Storm!

Last night was date night so we went with Molly & Tim to Cadillac Ranch over at Tempe Market Place. They have the BEST "Phoenix Cheesesteak Sandwich" there! Apparently there was some sort of contest going on there we didn't know about for the new movie "Vampires Suck". So we were surrounded by people in really bad vampire customers and DJ's from Power 98. Luckily it was almost over by the time we got there and they all left and restaurant was quiet once again. We had a great time, food was DELISH, company was engaging...great time all the way Around.

As we left...this is what was greeting us...what a GORGEOUS storm in Arizona. There is nothing better than Desert Rain.

CPPD #1: Camera Phone?

I'm not one of these moms that has a camera on her person at all times...in fact you've heard me whine about my camera skills many a time on this very blog ;) I think I've found a solution to my problem. My Camera Phone. Why have I never thought of this brilliancy before? I usually have my phone with me? It's acceptable to have horrible pictures? No skill required? I love it. So here is the first of many (I hope!) "Camera Phone Picture Day" entries on my blog.

First Up...we went school clothes shopping at Old Navy a few weeks ago, Province and Mantha got all tangled up posing for this one!

Then last night after WEEKS 2 months have not having my dining room table we finally finished this 1000 + piece puzzle! Much owed to the dedication of Molly who could not stand to put it away without finishing it. At this point it should be framed don't ya think?

Yeah, you can be SO jealous of my CP skills (laughing). In any case I hope these CPPD will help my blogging prowess (or at least give me some motivation to blog)! Hope you all have a fantastic Monday!
