We're back safe and sound! We got to stay a day later than we thought (thanks to my boss!) Here's a quick recap!:
- Had a great weekend helping my mom move! It was hard work but really pretty stress free considering the circumstances.
- We even snuck in a pedicure--my sis and I went all out and got zebra striped toenails
- I got to see my Aunt Rhonda for a few minutes!
- My mom's king-size bedset wouldn't fit in storage so she let Dave and I have it! Even after moving for 4 days straight we drove the U-Haul here and unpacked it and set it up immediately! LOVE IT!
- Of course one of the highlights of the trip is always spending some time with the squooshies! Molly's babies are just SO cute and fun! I wish I could spend more time with ALL of my nieces and nephew!
- And last but not least....we went and saw two movies (yeah right in the middle of moving we went to see a movie because we all needed to sit down and rest for awhile anyway!) then we went to the late showing..but ANYWAY okay so...the first movie was Narnia---ummm so not my favorite movie, I LOVED the first one--this one was like watching a really bad version Lord of the Rings with kids in it! And the second one.....Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.....WHOOOOO KNEW IT WOULD HAVE ALIENS IN IT! I almost CRIED!!!! I haaaaaate anything with Aliens! I sat through it and enjoyed most of it quite thoroughly, but it took all my will power and determination to not allow myself to have nightmares and freak myself out of walking in the house alone that night.
Tangie, you crack me up! I'm a sci-fi freak, so I'm sure I'll love it, aliens & all... and, love LotR, too, looking forward to seeing the Narnia movie - it's probably one of those movies you have to judge for yourself. I mean, after all, I really liked "The Fountain" (yes, weird & hard to understand, but I got something from it, not to mention the amazing music and cinematography), and I adore "Lady in the Water".
Glad you had a nice visit. I'm glad I could see you when I was in AZ back in April, too. That was an added bonus to the trip. :-)
