We had a wonderful New Year's Eve with just our little family last night. We made lot's munchies for dinner like we have over at Dave's dad's house on Christmas Eve for dinner--we drove our new cars (we got for Christmas) all over the house and kept crashing them under the couch--was too fun! Then we had "rest time" Dave and I watched some CSI and Samantha watched a movie in our room (that is a treat for her!) while we rested until 10. Then we had nummy ice cream sundaes and played a game we got for Christmas called "In a Pickle" (I highly recommend it, it was SUPER FUN!!). Then at about 3 minutes to midnight we turned the ol' tube on to watch the ball drop in New York--then ran outside with our crackers and noise makers! (A tradition in Mesa--no one seems to do it here, I'm sure we woke a few people up--too bad for them!) It was a fabulous evening!
My favorite Picture of the evening! :)
Samantha surprised us by making cute table settings and menus for each of us! Dave and I also tried (and conquered I might add) to make spinach artichoke dip like they have at El Paso BBQ Company (one of my favorite restaurants)! OH MY was it delicious--not to mention Dave made his famous homemade tortilla chips to go with it! Mmmmmmm!!!!
I also realize it's a bit late and somewhat anti-climatic but here are some of my Christmas decor pictures :) I've still got to blog about Christmas but thought I'd post these anyway!
